Justin Bieber's grandmother nearly died in a car crash in Canada on Saturday, July 2.
TMZ reports that the singer's grandmother appears to have escaped the violent crash unscathed.
News of the crash was first shared on a Stratford-specific public Facebook community page, which highlights classic cars and shows in and around Ontario, Canada, where Bieber has family ties.
A photo of the aftermath was posted and it appeared that the webmaster asked if anyone in the community could identify who had it.
A man named Brandon Steven, who also appears to be related to Justin, has come forward claiming he was involved in the accident in the photo, and that Jeremy Casey Bieber, the grandmother next to Justin's father, was the owner of the convertible and she Also in the car.
When people questioned what happened, Brendan wrote: "We got into a dead end when a few cars ahead of us turned left. Then a distracted driver pulled us back and they said she had to be going 70. No good, got to pull grandma out of the car. If we stayed there for another 5 seconds with the door fastened, it could have gotten really bad."
There were also photos of Casey posing with the car on social media. While there aren't many public photos of the singer with Kathy and her husband George (Jeremy's biological father), they do exist and are well documented online. Casey is Jeremy's stepmother and therefore Justin's step-grandmother.
